Things are picking up-yahoo!

So far, Amy and Jeff Segerstrom, John and Lisa Kjentvet and their kids, Mary and Fred Crosby, and maybe Lisa (Kjentvet) Anderson are coming! Mark and Andreen and their kids are a strong possibility, along with Vi. Joyce Graff is hoping to get there, and she has also given out more relations to contact. Lisa, we hope you can make it.
Tonight is the Relay for Life at Wild Rose - for all of Waushara County. While Joan and I missed the boat on getting on teams, we did get over and donate and put up luminaries. Then we walked around the track just to say hello to whomever we knew. What a beautiful night for it! Although the nights are a bit cool, and tomorrow may be rainy, we have all been affected and touched by various cancers; so it is with remembrance that I wish you all a good night and a beautiful weekend.

I'll throw ya a bone!

Ok, I will take a few minutes out of my busy night to write a little something.

First, I take ok pictures...if anyone would like to donate any money so I can get a great Digital SLR camera I would take some rockin' pics at the reunion! I usually have to take a zillion pictures of the same event to get one good one :). Second, I call a bedroom for the reunion weekend. As much fun as it would be to sleep in the tree stand, I will let someone else (that can pee over the side if they need to) have at it!

Have we gotten any people saying they will be coming or is it just going to be us at Nana's? I am hoping to see everyone there and any new additions ;). There is lots of land and lots to catch up on. Here is the link to my families blog if anyone would like to "visit" us there: www.holthefamily5.blogspot.com.

I am a little afraid to do too much digging into our family lineage because Jared's family is 100% Norweigian...what if we are related? I just can't handle that...it would explain a lot, but I don't want to know (hehehe).

I will try to let any family on facebook know about our blog and see if we can get some traffic here.
Have a great night and start posting any RSVP's so it can make the rest that are just visiting the blog feel guilty for not coming to the reunion on all reunions ;).

Sisters

This blog idea came from my sisters and oldest niece. The funny thing about that is that none of them have begun to write! Now, I know how busy our lives are at this time. But, REALLY!!!
I hope SOMEONE else writes SOON! It is boring reading only my stuff, yet. Well, maybe not entirely boring; but we all have thoughts, concepts, and ideas which do truly matter in the scheme of things. Today we received a note from Ragnhild Heath, one of Mom's cousins up in Eau Claire. Because it is addressed to Joan,I am waiting for her to return from work to see what she has written. What has been fun in this process is finding names of relatives we really didn't know, from relatives we seldom get to see. That really needs to change.
My oldest niece, Sheri (oleson) Holthe, is the pro on blogging. She has a family blog, is all over facebook, and has great pics of her family! She also does great photography! Maybe we should have her do photos the weekend of the reunion. We can always use the computer to print copies, as well as drive in to WalMart or Walgreen's. We could start a photo family tree! Do you know that some of the Kjentvet line can be traced to 1430? It took some work, but that much was done through the familysearch.com site. Free. Imagine if we could look even more by paying a little? Or by traveling to Norway! A reunion trip to Norway really is a big dream. But what a great thought!

The reunion looms near!!!

I truly hope many can make it this year, to the reunion. There is much yet to do; but it's a weekend of fun, conversation, memories, and looking to the future. Hopefully more family will find this blogspot and contribute their thoughts, ideas, and plans. We have a good history, and we will have a great future!

Are there any Kjentvets and Fosses out there???

This is my first attempt at writing a blog - hmmm. If anyone is reading this, have fun! It has been a fun and challenging time trying to get a reunion together. Now that it is nearly here, all I can think of is, "Oh my God! How much is left to be done - UFFDA!". But all three of us have been working on this, albeit slowly. So we procrastinate. Doesn't everyone? Truthfully, life is much too short to miss the people who mean the most to us, friends and family. So this reunion, although many years late, is much anticipated. All of us have seen many changes within our families. Finally we have an opportunity to meet again and have a ball!
